STORY -

“Be a lady they said. Your skirt is too short. Your shirt is too low. Your pants are too tight. Don’t show so much skin. Don’t show your thighs. Don’t show your breasts.”

The Rant is a zine detailing the monologue recited by Cynthia Nixon that focuses on the pressures that women face in society. The common theme throughout the zine is how women who have an opinion on their own pressures are seen to be “ranting”. This is achieved through typography, photographic manipulation and collage. The zine was created as a response to conversations I’ve had men over the years.
